MOUNT PRIDE
I don’t know of one single person in my life that hasn’t been given a second chance. For some of us the amount of chances we’ve gotten number so many we’d be hard pressed to count that high, me for sure. My good friend and brother Bill, who happens to be a pastor, posts at Cycle Guy’s Spin. He is doing a series on second chances and knows me well enough to know I’ve been given lots of second chances in my life and has asked me to do a guest post at his place.
If you don’t know Bill, you need to. And once you do, you’ll know why it’s such an honor for me to hang out at his place and share a story. Bill has one of the most interactive blogs I’ve seen and I’m proud to be a small part of it. Check out the Cycle Guy and make his place a stop on your weekly rides… you’ll be glad you did.
As you can guess by the title, pride is that thing that happens before a fall. You can see where I landed over at Bill’s place. Hope to see you there! Click here for the shuttle.

A lesson that is good to learn early on in life, Floyd. Even as Christians this insidious sin can creep in and drag us down. You are a blessing, Floyd. I always enjoy your posts.

Thanks so much, Pam. Well described! “Insidious” sums it up perfectly! Some of us just take longer to learn than others!

The dawn of a new day is another second chance for us to be all that God desires us to be and to become. I am so thankful for the resurrection power that raised us into new life and the many chances to do well. This is an awesome post to cause us to ponder and consider the Love of Jesus to us all. Thank you for allow your delightful and thoughtful story to show up on “Tell Me a True Story.”

Well said, Hazel. Each day is a gift to learn and grow and praise the Father who pours His grace on all of creation, even the ones that hate Him. I’m always honored to share on your wonderful site, Hazel! Thank you!

Another one hit out of the ballpark…but better than that it is a lesson for all of us. I am so thankful you share the REAL moments in your life that can help us all realize we need a Savior, and we had better not be too prideful to admit it. Blessings.

I’m completely with you on being to prideful to admit it! There is no chance of seeing until the scales are removed from the eyes of our heart. We all have the real moments in life, it’s what we do with them that make all the difference and decides if we live in peace or strife this side of heaven. Thanks so much, Nannette.

Yeah, I had a glitch with my hosting company this week. Of course there was a lesson it! Might have to do a post on that one as well! Thanks for hanging in there, Sharon. A blessed Memorial Day to you and your family.

Great post, thank you. Sadly, many people think that as christians we don’t struggle or make mistakes, but we do!

I’m with you, Linda. So many assume that Christians shouldn’t have problems, but they ignore the very words of Christ when they do! Indeed He has overcome our troubles! Thanks for stopping by, Linda.
