born to be wild

I didn’t even realize it, but the song was more than just a catchy tune, it was an anthem. It represented freedom, excitement, and all the things a seven-year-old boy held dear in his unspoken dreams and aspirations. I heard the song again and contemplated the history I shared with the old tune. Right about that time, Bill, The Cycle Guy, shared a video on his site as that song, the first to use the term “heavy metal” and was the anthem of my youth, played innocently in the background.

It just so happens that Bill has taken the week off and I’m covering for him today over at his site. I urge you to “Head out on the highway” over to Bill’s to read the rest of the story as well as make his site a regular stop while you’re out cruising the internet… “Get your motor running!” I’ll race ya!
