A THANKFUL HEART
I find the people with a truly thankful heart to be the ones who are happier in life. Interestingly those are the same people who are the first to give to someone in need, or to a worthy cause.
It’s my opinion that God designed us to be thankful and giving; I think proof of that comes directly from the Bible. I’ve also noticed the ones who give and are truly thankful, though still enduring difficult times in life, always seem to have everything they need- bearing in mind what a real necessity is versus a luxury.
We can and should be grateful for many things and even be expectant of God’s provision as long as we sport a humble heart.
There can’t be a Thanksgiving for me without thinking of the ones already past. I remember a humble family with humble means and a father’s prayer of thanks in humility. I’m also thankful and remember the words of my mom during those years. “You can’t out give God”! she would say with complete conviction. I’m thankful she passed some of that wisdom along.
I’m thankful for my own family and the hearts God has granted them. I’m thankful to God that even in, maybe especially in tough times, he shows His mighty hand of provision in miraculous ways.
I’m also thankful for the heart given by God for me to write. I’m thankful to you my friends, loved ones, and family, who take the time to share yours with me. I am truly humbly honored.
I pray God’s blessings and guidance on your lives this Thanksgiving. May He bless us with hearts that are overflowing with thanks and the cheerfulness to give, as we find the true meaning of this day.
God bless and Happy Thanksgiving.

No need for me to wish you a grateful thanksgiving because it appears you are already there. But I will wish it any way. 🙂

God gives back to us, and the amazing things is that his measure is larger than ours. I am thankful for family and friends, including you and all my blogging co-bloggers. This December will mark my second year of blogging, and it truely has been fun. I am so very thankful for the insights of blessing I have received by simply reading the posts of others! (including Floyd of course.)

Happy Thanksgiving, Floyd!
I sure do miss certain people who have gone on from this world. Some have been gone for decades, but time doesn’t alter the fact that I wish they were here!

Happy Thanksgiving to you! I hear you. It’s never exactly the same without them, but we honor God and them by our actions. God bless you and yours.

OVERFLOWING! Yes, that’s is the word! God’s blessings are, and do, just that. I figure it percolates out all the bad stuff! A friend of mine just moved home to heaven yesterday and it feels a little strange…has subdued my thoughts a bit today. Thanks Floyd for your BIG heart!

I’m sorry to hear about your friend. That does tend to subdue our thoughts. Even though we know our loved ones are in a perfect place, it still leaves us in somber tone. I’m praying for you and your friends family.
